JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (August 13, 2026) — This week, the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) FL, First Coast Chapter named Jill Davis its 2026 Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser.

The award is presented by the AFP, a global association dedicated to advancing philanthropy through advocacy, research, education and professional development. Presented annually as part of the AFP FL, First Coast Chapter's National Philanthropy Day Awards, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, the Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser Award recognizes an individual whose volunteer fundraising, leadership and service have helped nonprofit organizations grow and thrive. Davis was jointly nominated for the honor by the Museum of Science & History Jacksonville, the Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville (MOCA Jacksonville) and the University of North Florida (UNF).

Davis, whose volunteer work spans two decades serving local arts, education, healthcare and cultural organizations, has been instrumental in shaping the future of nonprofits and their impact across the First Coast. She currently serves as chair of the board of trustees and capital campaign co-chair for the Museum of Science & History. Additionally, Davis serves on the board of trustees for MOCA Jacksonville and UNF. She has also held volunteer leadership roles with Teach For America Jacksonville, Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, Riverside Presbyterian Day School and St. Vincent's Hospital.

Among Davis' most notable recent contributions is her leadership of the Museum of Science & History's capital campaign. As capital campaign co-chair, she has driven the fundraising strategy for the Museum's future home on Jacksonville’s Northbank, which has become one of the largest cultural capital campaigns in Jacksonville’s history and includes a $1.5 million commitment from the Davis family. The Museum will serve as a dynamic cultural anchor for downtown Jacksonville, nearly tripling visitation and in total creating more than seven acres of immersive indoor and outdoor learning experiences.

Davis will be recognized during the AFP FL, First Coast Chapter's 40th Annual National Philanthropy Day celebration on Nov. 13, 2026, at the Hilton Jacksonville at Mayo Clinic.
