Background: Team: Mr. Royal

Mr. RoyalMr. Royal achieved a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education from Jacksonville University in 1999 with a minor in music performance. Before that he graduated from the Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, specializing in vocal music and technical theater.

Since August, 2001, Mr. Royal has been a 5th grade teacher at Rufus Payne Elementary school, implementing various teaching strategies and working closely with colleagues to better the surrounding environment for the students attending the school. Among his many other responsibilities, he is also the School Technology Coordinator, handling network solutions, software and hardware upgrades, and technological mentoring for both students and staff.

While attaining his degree, Mr. Royal fulfilled management and technological roles in area businesses, aggressively pursued teaching-related internships, and tutored second and third grade students.
