Spend the Night at MOSH

If your group (kids age 6 - 12) is looking for something special and outrageously fun, try a Camp-In at MOSH! Sleep under a life-size model of a whale, explore Museum exhibits, and enjoy all sorts of hands-on activities!

Camp-Ins are open to schools, home-school groups, churches, YMCA's, 4-H Clubs, community centers, Girl and Boy Scouts, and other organizations! Your group can bring as few as 50 people or as many as 100 (including adults).

Camp-Ins, which begin on Fridays at 6:30 PM, provide campers with a science or history program, a planetarium show, time to explore the Museum exhibits, a late night pizza snack and a movie! Then, it's lights out and each camper sets up camp right here in the Museum. At 7:00 AM, campers will enjoy donuts and O.J. before going home.

The only thing campers need to bring is a sleeping bag, pillow, toothbrush, and a sense of adventure. MOSH provides security for the parking lots and the Museum through the night.

Camp-In Information

1. The cost is $30 per child and $20 per chaperone (at least one chaperone per 10 children is required).
2. Camp-ins have a minimum of 50 campers and a maximum of 100, including chaperones. Please note that, if the 50 person minimum is not met, the camp-in will be cancelled (and full refunds will be given).
3. MOSH can combine similar groups to meet required numbers.
4. Registration and full payment are required two weeks in advance of the scheduled camp-in date. Please call (904) 396-6674, ext. 230 to register.
5. Upon receipt of registration and payment, a confirmation letter and information packet will be sent out.
6. Cancellations must be confirmed in writing no later than two weeks before the scheduled camp-in date. Any cancellations made after this date and no-shows will not be eligible for a refund.
7. MOSH requires one group leader to be selected as the contact person for your Camp-In.
8. Please note that MOSH Camp-In staff and security guards may be male and/or female.
