Hixon Native Plant Courtyard

View the Hixon Native Plant Courtyard

See native plants and animals in this carefully preserved habitat - right in the heart of downtown Jacksonville!

It's a peaceful place alive with flowers, trees and other plants native to the St. Johns River with a few tourists courtesy of migrating birds.

Wild turtles and fish swim in a fountain-fed pond that you can explore from the walkway. A great place to take a break, sit down, and relax.
