Current Opportunities

Chief Financial Officer

Full Time

As a member of the Leadership Team, the Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the design and maintenance of all financial and accounting systems and for implementation and oversight of finance and risk management functions. This includes the management of accounting processes, payroll function, treasury function, internal controls, budgeting, annual audits, tax compliance, and the administration of property and liability insurance. The CFO will provide strategic leadership to ensure the accurate and timely completion of accounting functions, supervising the finance and HR department, fostering a collaborative environment across all departments in the museum, promoting financial education to all museum team members, and overseeing the preparation of financial reports. The CFO is also responsible for all finance reporting to the Board and Finance Committee.

Curator

Full Time

The Curator provides leadership and strategic direction for the development and implementation of an integrated curatorial and interpretive plan for the museum’s exhibits, collections, education, and public programs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep appreciation for both natural sciences and historical narratives, with the ability to curate exhibits that span both fields.

Summer Camp Counselor

Part Time

The Summer Counselor is responsible for assisting Education staff with Extended Care, summer camp supplies and logistics, and presenting live programs to the public and visiting groups.

Summer Camp Teacher

Part Time

A summer camp teacher is responsible for leading classroom activities for children enrolled in MOSH Day Camp.

Education Coordinator – The LEDI project at MOSH Jacksonville

Temporary

Your role is pivotal in connecting to schools in Jacksonville to come and see our art exhibition and ensuring successful implementation of program curriculum. Your goal is to facilitate relationships with Jacksonville schools and programs and linking them to the MOSH museum to ensure the LEDI experience and curriculum is accessible to students across Jacksonville. You will also be responsible for learning the LEDI curriculum, leading programs with students, and helping support the teaching of the curriculum to other educators/docents.
