Available Programs

How Slow Can You Go (Grades 3-5)

Carry out a lesson in 3D maze-making. Groups will have to invent unique paths and obstacles to meet the goal of maximizing the time it takes a ball to run through their maze without stopping and without handling the ball once it is dropped into their maze. In other words, it’s all up to their invention. Groups will have several rounds to improve their contraption, each time being able to see and borrow from the successes of other groups. It’s a lesson in both competition and sharing. Time trials after each iteration will generate data to analyze, allowing students the ability to compare their improvement as an individual group and as a class overall.

Science on the Go (Grades K-5)

Students will get in on the action of the zany experiments conducted in our mobile science laboratory. This interactive program includes experiments that cover physical science concepts such as matter, electricity, force and motion, and air pressure.

It All Makes Sense (Grades K-2)

Students will come to their senses in this multidisciplinary program that teaches the biology of the five senses through hands-on science experiments. Students will smell surprises they cannot see, see things that are not there and hear things everywhere!

Mobile Planetarium (Grades K-5)

MOSH has teamed up with Science First to offer a STARLAB portable planetarium that can bring the stars and constellations right to your school. Great for science nights and school family events, your students will sit inside this inflatable dome and watch the night sky while they learn about the stars, constellations and planets.

E.5. Earth in Space and Time ]

All About That Space (Grades 3-5, 8 or 9-12)

Humans dwell somewhere between immensity and eternity.  Students will be challenged to explore their place in the wider universe.  This program utilizes video images, live demonstrations, and interactive storytelling to guide students through interplanetary, interstellar, and intergalactic space while describing some of the physical forces and other phenomena that occur at those scales.
