Programs for Pre-K Groups
Our Preschool programs help children ages three, four and five
discover the fun of learning. Preschool programs have a class size
limit of 20 students and 4 adults maximum. Siblings and additional
chaperones will not be admitted to the classroom, due to size constraints,
but instead will be asked to tour the museum during the program.
One adult will be admitted free for every five paid children. Pre-K
programs are approximately 30 minutes in length.
Friendly Stars (Pre-K)
The planetarium theater can be a mysterious and scary place for
the average kindergartner. Mr. Sun takes us on a tour of the night
sky. Along the way your students will find out that the planetarium
is a very fun and special place to visit. Oh yeah, before we finish,
we will take a look at some of the constellations and planets
visible in the sky the week you visit.

Dinos (Pre-K)
Have fun with dinosaur shapes and sizes. Learn about what dinosaurs ate and
the different types of habitats in which they lived so long ago. SSS:

Native American Folktales (Pre-K)
Why did the grandmother spider steal the Sun? What happened when Coyote was
the Moon? Children will enjoy these stories and activities from the world of the

Ready for Reptiles (Pre-K)
Children will have the chance to learn about reptiles in our area. Some have
strange habits, unusual colors and special "jobs". Our creatures include
turtles, snakes, lizards, and see-you-later alligators. SSS:

Wings, Stings and Crawly Things (Pre-K)
What child doesn't like bugs? Children will learn about the life cycle of butterflies,
the world of busy bees, the secrets of spiders and other fascinating creatures. SSS:

African Folktales (Pre-K)
Why do mosquitoes buzz in peoples' ears? What tricks will Anasi,
the spider, play on his friends? In this program, children will
be exposed to different cultures through stories and folktales
from Africa.

Under the Sea New! (Pre-K)
Dive into the wet and wild world of ocean life! In this program
we will study different types of marine life that inhabit the
oceans of the world, from tiny little starfish to great big whales!

Florida Wildlife (Pre-K)
Explore the many animals that call Florida home. Children will
learn about various habitats and different types of animals, as
well as the basic needs of all living things.
