Do campers go outside?
Campers will go outside for a 30 minute supervised recess after lunch. They may also go outside to perform certain science experiments with their class but will remain indoors the majority of the day.
What is the teacher-to-student ratio in the classroom?
For all K-2nd and 3rd-5th One Day Fun Day camps, one teacher and two teen interns per 20 campers maximum.
What do children do during extended day?
MOSH offers early morning care starting at 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and late afternoon care from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. During extended day, campers have the option to play games/puzzles, draw or watch a “G” rated movie. Extended day is non-refundable. An authorized ID is required for verification purposes to pick up your child. Please note that if your child is not picked up by 5:00 p.m., a cost of $5 per minute will incur; payment of such is due at the time of pick up.
Do you serve a snack and/or lunch?
MOSH does not provide neither snacks nor lunches. Parents are responsible for supplying a mid-morning snack and lunch. We also recommend providing your child with a water bottle.
Can I have lunch with my child?
Yes. Lunch takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. We ask that if parents want to eat with their child they do so off premises. Please inform MOSH staff in the morning if you would like to take your child to lunch. When picking up your child for lunch inquire with the front desk and have your authorized ID ready.
Can my child bring electronics to camp?
We highly discourage any electronics be brought to camp, which includes cellular devices or tablets. Please be aware that MOSH will not be held responsible for lost, broken or stolen personal items. The child is solely responsible for all personal items, including money.
Will the campers have a chance to go to the MOSH Store?
The gift shop is open during museum hours and you are more than welcome to visit it at your own leisure. Campers will not be visiting the MOSH Store during the regular camp day.
