NAME: Mallory Battle DEPARTMENT: Development SCHOOL: The Florida State University DEGREE: B.A., Public Relations “My intern experience at MOSH helped me develop the knowledge and skills to succeed in my future.” As a PR intern, I was provided the opportunity to apply what I learned in classroom lessons to real world settings. From sitting in on interviews to writing press releases, the MOSH staff included me in various aspects of museum life. This internship even broadened my repertoire to include grant writing - an important element of nonprofit communication. |

NAME: Wyatt Taylor DEPARTMENT: Collections SCHOOL: Sam Houston State University DEGREE: M.A., History “My internship at MOSH was one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional and academic careers.” Not only did the internship illuminate the aspects of the history field that I wanted to pursue in terms of a vocation, but it also led directly to my appointment as curator of the Jacksonville Fire Museum. The MOSH staff treated me like a member of their family, and through my internship I’ve developed both friendships and professional relationships that I hope will endure well into the future. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity I was provided by MOSH and its wonderful staff. |
