Do you cringe at the idea of spending another Valentine’s Day at a crowded restaurant? Treat your sweetheart to the Museum of Science & History’s annual Valentine’s event, Bella Luna: Dessert Under the Stars. The event, taking place Saturday, February 11 from 7 to 10 p.m., will treat guests to decadent desserts and hors d’oeuvres from some of the area’s top restaurants and caterers; wine and beer from local wineries and brewers; rooftop stargazing with the Northeast Florida Astronomical Society; a special love-themed Cosmic Concert in the new Bryan-Gooding Planetarium; and full museum access (child-free!). Museum programs will include Opposites Attract, an interactive show in the JEA Science Theater that will explore electricity and chemistry, and Cuddly Creatures, which will allow guests to get up close and personal with the scaly and furry residents of the Florida Naturalist’s Center. Guests can also get in on the action by playing Name That Tune or The Newlywed Game. Tickets to Bella Luna are $45 per couple ($35 for MOSH Members).
