Join MOSH for a new adventure each week! Campers will explore science, history and astronomy as they conduct experiments, journey to the edge of the universe in the Bryan-Gooding Planetarium and explore museum exhibits, including the summer blockbuster exhibit, Megalodon: The Largest Shark that Ever Lived! Some camps will feature guest speakers and the space camps will culminate with a field trip to Kennedy Space Center!

Dates: June 16-August 8, 2014
Camp Times: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Extended Care: Before Care: 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
After Care: 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Participant Ages: K – 8th Grade (6th – 8th grade camps select weeks only (WEEK 4 and 6); register your child for the grade he or she has just completed.).
Cost of Camp: $156 for MOSH Members / $195 for Non-Members*
*Week 3: $126 for MOSH Members / $156 for Non-Members

WEEK 1: June 16 - 20

LEGO I (K - 5)
Calling all LEGO enthusiasts! Join us for a whole week of camps focused on LEGOs! Campers will work together to complete challenges and obstacles in this fun-filled camp for LEGO fanatics!

WEEK 2: June 23 - 27

Pirates & Princesses (K & 1)
Avast ye mateys and welcome to the age of chivalry! Take a voyage through MOSH as we learn about the world of real and make-believe pirates and princesses.

Now You See It, Now You Don't (2 & 3)
Every great magician starts somewhere and with a little practice our campers will build their own magical talents! Mini magicians will learn what it takes to create illusions during the most mysterious week of camp yet!

Rockets & Roller Coasters (4 & 5)
Ever wonder how a rocket works? Or which laws of science make a rollercoaster work? Campers will compete in build offs and will learn a little about how the body responds to the thrills of loop de loops and launches.

WEEK 3: June 30 - July 3 *Short week of camp due to July 4 holiday.

Superheroes (K & 1)
Does your child think he or she can fly? We do too! Little heroes will experience agility, strength, endurance, and teamwork through our Superhero Training Camp and will meet some real-life hometown heroes.

The Age of Discovery (2 & 3)
Campers will celebrate the 450th anniversary of Fort Caroline as they learn about European explorers who influenced Florida’s history. Campers will kick off the camp with a special activity to commemorate the first Thanksgiving between the French and Timucua.

Nano MOSH (4 & 5)
The world you are familiar with will become smaller and smaller! Campers will see for themselves how we humans revolutionize our technology through lessons learned by nature in the evolving field of nanoscience.

WEEK 4: July 7 - 11

Get Your Game On! (K & 1)
Be prepared to test your mind and body in this action-packed week of camp! Whoever said learning can’t be fun, clearly never got their game on at MOSH!

Fire & Ice (2 - 5)
Burns and brain freeze…hot and cold…fire and ice! This week of camp will get to the heart of what temperature is! Campers will get caught up in the heat of the moment as they explore extreme temperatures.

Survivor (6 – 8)
Calling all Survivors! Are you ready to outwit, outplay and outcreate? This camp will test campers mentally and physically through tasks, tests, and teamwork that encourages outside-the-box thinking.

WEEK 5: July 14 - 18

Swimming with the Sharks (K – 5)
It’s shark week at MOSH! Campers will wade into the waters of learning to find out all they can about sharks from the prehistoric Megalodon to the Hammerhead and Great White.

WEEK 6: July 21 - 25

Prehistoric Parade (K & 1)
Campers will learn about Ice Age animals that once inhabited Florida. Mastodons, woolly rhinos, saber-toothed cats, and giant ground sloths are just some of the prehistoric creatures that will be studied. Don’t let this parade pass you by!

Micro MOSH (2 & 3)
Campers will get up close and personal with the many unseen creatures of the microscopic world as we go under the lens in this exploratory science camp. Campers will learn how to use a microscope, create their own slides, and even grow their own Petri dish pets!

Grossology (4 & 5)
Based on the Grossology series by Sylvia Branzei, Grossology camp will explores the science of the gross. Campers will learn the weird, funny and fun of the human body! This camp is not for the queasy!

Movie Making (6 – 8)
Lights! Camera! Action! Campers will write, create, film and edit a short movie using PowerPoint, Movie Maker & Auto Move. They’ll even create a theme song!

WEEK 7: July 28 - August 1

LEGO II (K – 5)
Back by popular demand - it’s a second week of LEGO camp! This camp offers new challenges as campers discover what can be done with a few plastic bricks and a lot of creativity.

WEEK 8: August 4 - 8

Space Pioneers (K & 1)
3…2…1… Blast off! Little Space Pioneers will take a journey to each planet, learn about the Milky Way and NASA. And on their last day, campers will be taking a trip to Kennedy Space Center.

Space Explorers (2 & 3)
Get your ticket for an all expense-paid trip to Outer Space! Campers will tour the cosmos as they visit the Milky Way, the International Space Station and more and will take a trip to Kennedy Space Center on their last day of camp.

Space Astronauts (4 & 5)
Aspiring astronauts will take a voyage to deep space where no man has gone before to learn what is beyond our Milky Way. Campers will take a trip to Kennedy Space Center on their last day of camp.
